I was able to get a taste of the Sunrise Festival at the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center at Diliman, QC today… not at sunrise, but after sunset. The glowing lights from the bazaar booths led Troy and I through the trees and shadows of the solemn park entrance. After soaking in the sights and sounds of what each concessionaire had to offer, we made our way to the amphitheater just in time for the captivating performance of Kawangis ng Tribu, a cultural group from Palawan. It was short, but sweet. A friend from Cebu who was camping there for the whole 3 days of the event told me that the group did a longer drum session the day before. Here are a few shots that Mikko took when he caught up with us after a whole day of taking photos for a wedding nearby…

AGAWAN BASE. This video was directed by Rember Gelera. It features Peryodiko’s first single which was written by Vin Dancel, and produced by Robin Rivera.
TAYO. From the out takes of the Bakasyon video, director Jules Katanyag and DOP Malay Javier came up with this video. This is probably not going to go to the music stations, but it’s a nice prequel to Bakasyon.
BAKASYON. Director: Jules Katanyag / Director Of Photography: Malay Javier / Production Designers: Mikee Red and Timmy Harn / Editor: Danzen Santos / Production Managers: Redge Estrada and Karr Catamora / Production Assistant: Mi Ngu / Producers: Peryodiko and The Thirdline Inc.

Candlelight yoga practice with live strings and vocals at Bliss Yoga Manila
A great way to end a stressful week and start the weekend as you step into our delightfully illuminated shala. Junji Arias from Velcro lends his talent to this open level class lead by Marah Arcilla that allows you to find the connection between you and your heart, hearts of others and the heart of the universe. An informal and intimate gathering will follow after the class where food prepared with love will be served.
Can you keep an open heart to yourself and to the world even when there is pain?
Open your heart and bring fire into your yoga practice on December 4, 2009, Friday at Bliss Yoga Manila.

Junji Arias plays with his band, Velcro at Capone’s. Don’t be fooled by the tattoos and rebel look. He is a kindhearted fellow who loves to share his gift of music. He reckons he has something stuck in his throat when he sings but he saw that as an opportunity that distinguishes his singing style.
Marah Arcilla risked opening her heart and decided to come back to Manila to share the beautiful practice of yoga. In light of so much disaster, pain and suffering, she came to realize it is still a wonderful city to live in.

It’s our inaanak’s 1st birthday! Jungle theme…
Maybe we should go as Tarzan and Jane? Classic.
Easy for Mikko—he and Tarzan got the same do… but me as Jane??
Hmm. Maybe I can just be a little monkey girl.

We’re setting up a photobooth at the party. Yeehah!
It’s gonna be a jungle IN there!!
